Balicasag is a small island off to the coast of Panglao, Bohol. The marine sanctuary has a wonderful white sand beach and beautiful corals in shallow and deep waters. Balicasag Island Bohol is truly an incredible destination for tourists in the island of Bohol, especially for those who are sea lovers. Virgin island is not really an island, but instead is a long stretch of sandbar with crystal clear and turquoise-coloured sea water surrounds it. It earned its name as ‘Virgin’ is because nobody lives here. Nowadays, this sandbar is crowded with food stalls & tourists during low tide.
.Dolphin Watching (non-guaranteed presence): On the way to Balicasag Island, you will see the playful dolphins jumping around you. Our expert spotters will help you catch a glimpse of these wonderful marine creatures.
.Balicasag Island: is a 30-45-minute boat ride from Alona Beach. It is a prime diving and snorkeling spot in Bohol because of its rich marine life. Balicasag used to have power only from 6 pm to 11 pm until 2017 when it was fully energized.
.Balicasag Marine Sanctuary (Optional): is found at the west side of Balicasag that highlights a 200-meter drop-off. The huge majestic wall is teeming with marine life such as turtles, trevally, barracuda and wrasse that are regularly spotted.
.Virgin Island Sandbar (also known as Pungtud or Pontod Island): is a lengthy sandbar that curls and fades into the sea like the tail of a mischievous tadpole
